Simon+ is an object design studio based in Paris, founded by Simon Dupety.

Simon’s work is linked to a deep exploration of craftsmanship, examining both its traditional and future applications. Through this perspective, he develops lighting and furniture projects for institutions and galleries, and collaborates with brands on unique, one-off creations.

His approach, also connected to industrial production, seeks to develop the imaginary surrounding the making of objects. For each project, he conceives, develops, and oversees all stages, from idea to production.

Maëva and I traveled to Laos for 3 months. “Crafting flowers” is the result of our craft encounters and the projects we carried out there. The language barrier deprived us of speech and gesture, and we had to imagine our objects based on this lack. Flowers, omnipresent in Vientiane, accompanied our creative journey and our discovery of the country.
