Le néo-lampiste
systèmes sauvages
scène 2
2022
Systèmes sauvages is a design research on the modes of production and the relationships between humans and the objects that result from them. The aim of my work is to create an encounter between nature and the city through the use of heterogeneous objects. To achieve this, I work in the street, using only materials that I find in the forest, in our rubbish dumps or in the rubbish heap.
Neo-lampist
with Maëva Dauriac
In collaboration with Maëva Dauriac, we have designed a series of working accessories for our neo-lamp maker.
These pieces of equipment are the result of our experience in lamp-making, through repeated work with wood and materials.
Crafts often convey strong identities in the outfits and tools they use. Imagining a new kind of craftsmanship, even through the prism of fiction, requires reflection on gesture and doing, in order to show a certain degree of quality in the work performed.

Lamp collection
This collection is made from chestnut wood and industrial trashes. It explores a new way of conceiving craftsmanship in our futur by the encounter of materials coming from the forest and the street. This meeting recalls us as much craft-object than industrial-object in our vision the making. It's a proposal for a new way of anticipating production.
The journal
The "Présent Déviant" newspaper reports on fake news - which is nonetheless very similar to our own - and draws us into the scenario of this new research. Always mirroring our own reality, this press edition is an invitation to the imaginations of alternative presents.
Process is at the heart of this project. Working in the street, in front of people, the transparency of the manufacturing process shares the values of this new way of producing. Each lamp is made up of dozens of parts: metal hangers, electric dominoes, chestnut wood and LEDs. All materials, whether reused or natural, have to be worked differently. The wood is carved with a knife and burned with a flame. The LEDs were taken from a garland and reassembled directly in the branches. There are no screws, glue or anything similar: everything comes from nature and the city.
